Caged Bird

Today my teacher asked us "How are you a caged bird? Why do you sing?"

Well I answered. And I got really into it.

I am a caged bird because i'm locked away from the world. I don't know what it's like to be happy anymore. I sing for love. I sing to be freed from the darkness I am so accustomed to. I am freed for moments, then locked up again. Just like my everlasting heartbreak. I find someone new. Have the time of my life. Then they throw me back in the cage. Over. and Over. and Over.
